My opinion is DM is better but too expensie, VU is a better choise regarding the price. Nevertheless, a clone dm800 is also a good choise. I think there is already a same thread on this topic on the forum.

Same here , my experience with my dm800hd clone sim2.01 is really good ! For the price 150 € ship included.

You need to say what DM and what VU, you cant compare like this, you could ask is VW better then Opel, but you didnt say is it VW polo or passat and what model of Opel, and this is like that.

is a vu+ better then a dreambox 800
maybe vu+duo compared to dreambox 8000

Dreambox clone somebody sell about 150 dolars which is very good price and Dreambox clone is better than openbox

It's not only the hardware. The software support is very important and I think this is a big point for dm

What the support like on the DM Now?
I thought they was getting a bit restrictive?

Lots of Support for the VU+

And there are still others as well, ET9000, although I've not had any experiance of that.

If you can afford it I would say go for the DM.

What are the Dreamboxes like with Motors these days?
I've not used one since a DM500s (which was notorious for Motor issues)

Are the lastest DM800 and latest DM500 HD boxes any better with motors?
Or are they still on the lower voltage side of things to drive one properly?

i use dreambox 800 clone with a darkmotor and its great had no problems
