    Help with using TM 5402 HD M2 C1 super+

    Hi,
Sorry if this has been covered previously, but I am having difficulty finding my way around recording and watching another channel.I can record a program, but when I try to select another channel to watch I get "stop recording if you want to change channels".I have read that you can record 3 chanels on this unit and watch another providing they are on the same TP (transponder?).Im afraid this looses me completly. After I select record I can use one of the program select menues to change to a very small selection of channels to watch. There must be a simple method I can use.
Any help to a newby would be appreciated.

That is exactly what it means if you record a channel that is on a Horizontal transponder then you can only watch another channel that is on a horizontal transponder.

Press the yellow button when in the channel list and this will show you the TP's 'H' Horizontal & 'V' Vertical.

As an example on 28.2° east TP 10964 H 22000 would allow you to record say channel 5 and on the same transponder would allow you to watch either CH5+1 or 5 USA or 5*

That should give you some idea of its capabilites, but for true watching one channel and recording a completely different channel you would need a Twin Tuner Receiver

    Regards
