Satlover cccam causing freezing

For some reason the Technomate 6900HD+ has started freezing as soon as it is connected with a satlover cline, tried quite a few different satlover clines last night, then earlier today I could not get on the forum so I found a free line from another site and watched a rerun of the Newcastle game on Novasport2 (although somewhat clippy as I had to wait a few seconds every few seconds as the connection kept dropping) then a few minutes ago I tried another of this forums clines and again as soon as it connected the box froze. Could it be the port numbers the box does not like?? I cannot think of anything else. Has anyone else experienced anything like this - is the only cure to wait for port numbers it does like??

I have been thinking of getting a permanent cline from the forum but this has made me think - do you have to keep changing the port numbers with the permanent lines or does it not change?

The freezing most probably comes through the very busy clines from satlover - with only 1 post, you have only access to satlover server 3 - the more usefull posts you have, the better (more stable = less freezes) the clines and servers get.
As I've heard permanent line from here (premium) is very stable - you'll receive an 'own' cline and don't have to change the portnumber.

Do you mean that the box(hardware) is freezing or is the picture freezing like a bad server? Remember satlover server 3 is very overloaded and therfore might be high freeze time to time. When you get the premium clien you dont have to change the port number everyday like you do on the free server 3.

Thanks to both for your replies, it is the box which freezes up as soon as the line connects, it has only started happening these last two days - that is what made me think it is the port numbers, I cannot think what else it could be.

I think he means both. Sometimes a completly overloaded server can even cause a box freeze. The stream interuption can disturb the mpg-software so that the box-os can crash.

Try to check for lines at about 4:00 p.m. when new ones are added. See if it is more stable then.

some times lines are taken and when this line trying by an other member in the box to connect the server this times the server becomes heavy so why the freezing problem is . so please try the lines when it is added abouyt 4.00 pm

i think you should try to update your box firmware. I had an box and this hapened whenever the server freezed. After firmware upgrade it was not a problem longer.

Grahamc, i cant see that you have mentioned anything about wheter it happens with only satlover cline ot any cline....

If you got more than one cline try disabling all and just try satlover cline on its own.

Is it only sly UK that is freezing? People are reporting higher ecm with sly UK recently. Think they're up to something.
