Re: sky m3 box ?
hi ben19710
hmmm
Short question, but not so simple so answer ; depends on a lot of factors (pc/linux knowledge, budget, ...). I think you should start to read some threads here (db, but also vu+ section, and use the search function o, eg 'skybox' and 'openbox').
You could start here: http://www.satlover.eu/forum/openbox...skybox-m3.html.
good luck anyway! -
Re: sky m3 box ?
The pros/cons of sky m3, openbox, etc have been discussed at length on this forum.
If you just want to watch telly and don't need an epg, choice of images, plugins, etc. Yes it'll do. Personally I prefer having a stb that can do a bit more so I'd always go for open source enigma 2 such as Vu+, dreambox, Gigablue, etc.Comment

Re: sky m3 box ?
Sky m3 is easy to set up not requiring in depth knowledge but if you are looking
for things like 7 day epg (for u.k) or more flexibility forget it this is a closed box
and you wait for manufactures for firmware upgrades if you have got used to a
Dreambox you will be disappointed.Liked my post then push the sigpic button.Comment
