skybox f3, best afordable box

i have just bought skybox f3, believe me its a best box i have seen for a price i paid. i bought it for £50 from e*ay. picture is very sharp. if you want a box to use it just as client box then this is for you. why spend more?

Yes, for the money you can't go wrong.
But I personally want more from my stb. 7 day epg, plugins ,vod,etc.
Being a closed source receiver does limit it a bit, but it is excellent vfm.

Depends on taste and what would you like to do with your receiver. But once you get into the swing of it then you want more. I bought Openbox just for fun to see if I can access anything. I enjoyed it, got a motorised dish and now wanting a good open source receiver.

That is the only trouble with F3 only now and next epg don't know if a future firmware update will fix it but other then this a nice box.

All the openbox skybox models or should I say all the cheapos closed source linux box shows only "Now" and "Next". Therefore you can't set them up to record on schedule or series recording.
