Does anyone have this box? What do you think about the box? Is a good choice? Can be compared to Vu+ Uno or is a little lower? I have searched in ****** but don't have too much results. Thanks a lot!

Sounds like a good box with open source linux, openpli and some other operatin system. Blind Scan is another + point. Flash and SD RAM both are better. I think it could be a real competitor to Dreams and Vu's. Sounds a bit pricey though. As its a new box with not much support so I think it should be a bit cheap for the start.

Sounds ok but way to pricey.
You can get a vu+ duo for that price and get all the support and knowledge that comes with it.
Maybe that price is only reccomended retail price and the real price will be lower?

I feel the same ; frankly with what I know now and all I've read on different places, the day I buy a new box, it most probably will be a VU+ or a DB. Price ok, but service/support/updates/... are also very important once you have the box.
May offend some people, but this is my opinion ; heard and read about a lot of 'new' boxes (mostly good during introduction), but some lasts and some don't - and that's not known the moment of purchase.

Just did a bird's eye again and its not Enigma but Egami, never heard of it before. No USALS? another drawback. Any 1080P?

Yes that is how I see it too.
All stb are different and even experienced users require a bit of help along the way.
I think help and support is crucial in this hobby as you have no shop/ retailer to ask certain questions.

If I was going to buy a new box, i would definitely go for the one with more support on the internet. I wouldn't invest a big amount 299 euros to get something just out in the market. I would do a lot of research before buy this box.
Just a question: Was this box was displayed at the Anga cables in Cologne, Gremany, earleir this month?

the box can runs images from other boxes (Xtrend, Vu+ and DM)

The box is made by Venton (Germany, i think) and they will do Unibox HD2 and HD3.

I read that this box is made by ex-engineers from Dream Multimedia and Vu+.

Hmmmm. Can't update software via usb?
That is a real positive with vu+ and makes trying out images so easy.
you can try out a different image and be back to your working backup in a few minutes..

Nothing to see with this new box, but agree with bokkie that s/w update via usb is very good. One of my boxes has 2 usb-slots and that's very positive (1 in the back for the HDD and 1 in the front for stick: channellist/soft). Had really bad experiences on another box (only 1 usb in the back) while disconnecting en reconnecting the HDD .

For me it comes to this: 2 x usb is necessary!

Unless these new stb offer something exciting or come with a good price tag they aren't going to tempt me I'm afraid.
Stick with the most popular. Dreambox, vu+, blade, spiderbox, etc.
