openbox s11 help plz

Hi. Please be patient with me if this sounds a noobish question (im very new to sat). I've just ordered a openbox s11 (skybox). I understand this is a openbox s10 but with a scart added.

Do I need a card in the box before I can cardshare??And if so, what card do i put in there. Or can I just connect to a free server and get free chans

Ideally, I would like to pay £10 a month to a reliable server and receive all sly Uk HD. My dish is an old sky+ dish fixed with two cables coming out

no you don't need a card if you will do cardshare
but you need to install cccam if you wanna pay to satlovers premium servers
it cost $15 a month cheaper if you pay for more months

Hi Montebox,

I believe the S11 is closed source, so you do not need to install cccam.

If you only want channels from $ly UK you can get a decent service for around £50 - £60 for 12 months.

I have an S10 (and I believe the S11 is almost identical) and it can cardshare with no extra hardware/software. Just connect it up to a network, enable DHCP, get a cline from this forum and enter it into Network Setup/CCcam Client Setup/Manage Config Files/CCcam.cfg.

There is a program that allows you to do this from a computer on the same network which makes this even easier. Search the S10 section of this forum or ****** for STBHD_LAN_MM
