don't know this box, but isn't there a possibility to do a reset (often possible with a serial RS232 nullmodem cable - crossed)?

try to disable the autostart of installed plugins, for which after the appearance on the receiver's display inscriptions "RUN" press and hold within 2-3 seconds. remote control the Recall button.
I advise you to delete the plugin UserRun

If I'm not mistaken, your box doesn't support powervu keys.

Are you sure that you have the right firmware supporting powervu keys?
