    Skybox F5 Tuning

    Hi there!
After a painful experience with a DM500S I just got a SKYBOX F5 and I'm quite happy about it.
The things I heard about this box are confirmed, really easy to use but no options to play with the interface and tune it a bit.
I still think there is for sure a way to add some more stuff like new network apps or change a bit the interface to make it easier to use...
    Anybody knows something about this?
For example adding the XMBC would be great!

Let me know if it's possible, or why it will never be

This is my first post here, be nice if I'm doing something wrong, I learn fast!
    Cheers
    Gil

Unlike dreamboxes the openbox/skybox although linux are closed source this
means only the manufacturers of the boxes can add features via updating the
firmware but you do get a cheap box that is almost plug n play.

If you want more plugins and control over your stb you need an open source receiver such as Vu+ or Dreambox.
As far as XBMC is concerned. The closest you can get at the moment is The movie Browser Plugin, which replicates the Xbmc UI for your movie library and scrapes movie info and artwork. There is also the XBMC Metroplis skin, but these are only available on open source receivers.
Have a look at this thread regarding a stb which will run XBMC 4 stb.
