    Skybox f5 audio help

    Hi there i have an f5 ive noticed that the audio drops every few mins for a second or so and returns to normal. It doesnt happen all the time and only certain channels particulary sports,

    Any ideas what this is and how i can resolve

      check cables and replace if possible, is this problem the same on fta channels too?

              Hi, no FTA is ok and so is most of other channels, happens the most with sports and its as if it skips a word a goes silent for a sec, no probs with picture

                  This happens because of freezing.
                  When a freeze occurs when the audio drops.
                  I have the same problem.
                  After a while the sound is ok.
                  Don't worry , it's normal and comes from tv, not from your receiver.
                  Your tv has a function that drops the audio when the signal is stopped.
                  I don't know how can disable this , but I think you can't.

                      i have the same problem it comes back its self or sometimes i have to reboot the box then its fine.

                          check internet and sat signal, another problem maybe your server, if those are good then you cant do anything else about it.

                              The audio loss only occurs when "TMS" is enabled in "PVR Settings" and only on s*y channels, Fta channels are fine.

                              TMS needs to be enabled for pause, rewind etc of live TV.

                              Disable TMS and no more sound issues but also no more pause and rewind...

                              Reboot the box and it works for a while then the audio loss returns.

                              Ive tried reformatting the hdd to FAT and NTFS, no difference. i know several others with this problem as well.

                              Is there a fix for this or is it just a design fault?

                                  I did wonder about the tms thing as a mate has same box using same server but no audio loss and only diff is that i have tms enabled and a hdd attached and mate doesnt
