    Using cccam with F3

Does the F3 work with c lines by just adding it to the cccam.cfg or am I just living in hope. The last thing I programmed was a matrix cam so you may need to explain rather a lot.

My current software seems to have cccam, mgcamd and oscam but I am a complete newbie so need help pointing in the right direction. All help will be welcome.

Openbox F3 works well with clines, you need the plugin to include emulator cccam, cline placed in the file cccam.cfg, and of course connect the receiver to the Internet

        Hello mate

Did you flash-update via USB correctly with all the required files ?
Did you found the hidden menu ?

I suppose that you have done the first...
        For the hidden menu,
you can go to Network and press 6666 or 8888 or 1111 on your remote , depending on your firmwear.
        The "hidden" menu will appear.
        hope this helps

If your not to sure about adding it via USB the beauty of these F3's is that you can also add them via the remote control as well

Global thanks to all for the advice, i like the idea of entering via remote, takes me back to my old neotion 3000, those were the days. If practical I always used wired connections in preference to wireless as safer(secure) and more reliable but the I am sure everone here already knows that. Cheers everyone.

By far the easiest method that I have found of adding clines or upgrading
firmware is the ftp tool especially if you have hard drive connected to the usb
port, using the remote becomes tedious because of the length of the clines.

I have both F3 and pc connected to the router via ethernet, is this the same?
In answer to previous post about emulators, I seem to have oscam, cccam, mgcamd and a couple of others from the latest firmware(25.1.13) from manufacturers web site

Yes you are connected to the internet.

If you want to keep it simple then all you need to know about is cccam for a
start you can try the free clines here http://www.satlover.eu/forum/free-ca...tart-again.htm

Remember if you don't have a Cccam.cfg file then you will have to create it:
open note pad then copy and paste the test line into it then save it select all
files options then save it as CCcam.cfg if you don't do this you will end up
with a .txt file which your stb will not read it. Copy the file to usb or use the
ftp tool. (of course you can try to do it using remote).

With your remote you press menu then 6666 or other numbers suggested
by kalpikos to access secret menu. In the Network, CCcam settings, update
by USB to load the cccam.cfg file off a usb stick, then manage cccam to
activate the line, then reboot the box.

After you are sure your stb is working correctly then you can look at options
                  like getting a premium line.

                  Good luck.

p.s satlover free lines are heavily used and you might get glitches or freezes
but still good for testing (more post get access to better free lines).

                    Re: Using cccam with F3

I have a blank cccam.cfg and have a couple more questions.

                    1. I only have 7 posts so I assume I cannot yet use a c line from server 3

                    2. My dish is pointed at 28.2/28.5E(no motor) and will stay there if I donīt want a divorce, so the only package that I could receive would be sly. Is the c line for server 3 for sly uk. If not I will wait until my post count goes up.

                    3. I can access all the cam bits without secret menu so think I can go through menu to unload other files and put in cccam.cfg file. Are all of the filename letters lowercase or do I need CCcam.cfg as the filename.

                    Sorry for so many questions

An answer to another of your post yes it will open Sly.
If you use usb or ftp tool on your pc the it has to be in CCcam.cfg and also like
I said in previous post has to be a .cfg file and not .txt.

Posted a c line from server 3, all channels appear to be working. I have the official firmware from skybox.cc dated 25.01.2013 and with this there seem to be no problems yet.

Went to menu, tools, upgrade by usb, other files, select and picked CCcam.cfg. Upgrade took a few seconds and thanks to all the guys here who have given me advice.

No number or updating of network (connected via ethernet)needed and after reboot channels clear after a few seconds, bit glitchy but no complaints here, its all good.
