Hi, is anybody able to tell me how to put lines in to a openbox s16,

If it's the same as s10, s11,etc.
You put cccam.cfg file with cline in it onto clean usb stick.
Insert usb stick into openbox and then upgrade by usb.

Another method is to use STB_LAN_MM tool, do a search for it on this forum saves the hassle of plugging and unplugging usb stick plus cline is automatically activated after after power off/on of your box.

Hi, Had a slight set back today down a factory restore before I put the channels on and line and it gone back to chinese.

Has anybody got any ideas how to get it back english.

hi

just a little suggestion: don't you have an operator's manual (eg in english) where you can see (a summary) of all menus, so you can go/search language settings?
In the S10 it's the 3rd menu (system setup) - than again 3rd menu (language) - then above: language.

Sorted the language problem, on the s16 its the picture of a cog 3rd one down then the one at the top of the list and push right untill english comes up.These boxes are totally different to a S10 or similar. Trying todo the channel list at moment but every way it keeps rejecting it.

Still cant get the line to work, STB_LAN_MM tool is not supported on the S16, I do it by usb and I can only load it in the Newcamd server setting . Still no channels.

Found this on another forum see if it helps you:

I am a novice with the openbox in particular the s16 which I have just got and tested tonight.

Seems to be a few problems adding a line to the box. If you want to add a cline, open Notepad on your PC then copy and paste the line onto Notepad under "Ccccam.cfg" this will then make it readable for the s16. Drag this over to a clean usb stick (formatted - fat 32).

Put usb into s16 and goto "System Setup" and then "Cccam Server Setting" and press blue button which should be for "USB". File should load onto screen with details. "Local Network Settings" in the "System Setup" show "DHCP" as "on" and other settings identifying router gateway etc.

Turn off box and restart. Channels should clear and in "Ccccam Server Setting" the server status should read "Connected". Otherwise you have a problem with leads or double check setup to the letter.

have yopu tride to Navigate to
Menu/
Tools/
Upgrade by Usb/
Upgrade Mode-Misc Files/
Select&Upgrade(ok)/
CCcam.cfg
Upgrade, then select n line same as c line
reboot stb and it will be there.

yeap, I tryed that and changed the firmware it does connecting,logining,disconnected.

Hi, got a line of one of these people that a 3 day trial, Its now saying connected, but still got scrambled channels.

Need more info to help, for eg do the FTA channels show clearly?

Fta channels are there and work fine, without any freezeing.EPG is there on scrambled channels as well.

Must be the server. What package/satellite are you trying to get?

I shall try some satlover lines later my free trial is up now,I have tryed dhcp on and off still the same, I have entered the line in newcam as well.
