    STBHD_LAN_MM & Openbox

I've just started using this excellent little app from this forum to update cccam.cfg.
I notice that there is an option to update the prio file. The one that is loaded in the Openbox is empty.

I assume the prio file is related to the channel list?
Is the prio file compatible with all channel lists or do they have to be linked in some way?

Like you I was intrigued by prio file but that is pretty much a redundant option for the Openbox but I think in the Dream box it is still used.

Another thing you can do with the STBHD_LAN_MM is change the backlogo of your Openbox there are some interesting ones about from football themed to more abstract.
But be very careful when updating firmware by this method because if your connection is not stable youmight end up bricking your Openbox.

The program list is present in image.abs. You can see it with any program that opens the database file. But I was not able to change it. Someone is successful?

I have never bothered with the prio file as everything works perfect for me. All the channels I was are opening for me. As openbox is a closed source linux based program therefore it doesn't give you many options. Best to leave things as they are if everything is working for you.

Good link mahrkpat...it explains the (complicated) setup for prio files. I'm glad we don;t seem to need this file for the openbox.

Yeah, dreambox...openbox kicks your ass again.

Back on topic, I can't get the STB_LAN to work properly.
It connects fine and says it transfers the CCcam.cfg to my box but when I reboot the changes to cccam.cfg aren't there.

          What am I doing wrong?

Yeah, file transfers fine by usb...
All the messages from the box say everything's ok.

i'm wondering if it could be a linux root issue?
I have the stbhd_lan prog in its own folder with the files it needs on the desktop in a windows 7 setup...I shouldn't have to move it to c: should I?

Mine is still in the download folder and still works so no need to move.

I know it sounds simple but are you saving any changes you make in the CFG file in the STB_LAN folder.

                Nail....head!

The simple solutions are often the best.
I hadn't noticed the floppy symbol by the text area.
Saved the file and it laods to the box perfectly.

This app/prog is so helpful and makes it a cinch to update (and backup) your Openbox!

OK, began from the start now. Asking for the password. Tried 0000, 1111, 2222, 3333..... almost everything, nothing worked.

Just checking: you've changed the IP address to the one your box uses?

What box & version have you got?

Check in you network menu to see what the IP address of your box is and enter this in the STBHD_LAN_MM.

The default password is 0000 for the Openbox.

If you can not see the IP address of the decoder. If you're using windows, on promt (cmd) write arp-a shows you a list of all devices connected to your network
