    N line for OpenBox

    Hi a complete noobe here.
My question is how to put a N line in openbox with different ports and same username and password. Do I have to create a seperate N line for each port?
    Thanks in advance

    Re: N line for OpenBox

    hi

Entering nlines is apparantly the same as entering clines.

It seems it's possible to download the nlines in a file and than edit them with eg the software lantool. Afterwards you can load them in your box with usb.

      Re: N line for OpenBox

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it still didnt answer my question
      Lets say for example
      Host ABCDE
      Password XYZ
      User xyz11
Ports 1000 to 1010 for 10 different packages
      DES Key 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

Now do I have to compose 10 n lines with different ports or is there a method to compose 1 n line with 10 ports in it. Keep in mind that openbox allows only 7 lines.
      hope I explained it correctly

        hi

As I understood you have 2 possibilities:
        1) enter the lines manually one by one into your box
        2) when you can put/download the lines in a file, you can edit/copy them and afterwards load them into your box with usb

              microchick,
i personally when testing, always entered by remote, your own choice,

as people who tried to enter n/line in spiderbox, not possible by usb, might be same case for your openbox.

                hi

Correct about spiderbox and mvision: not possible by usb.
About the openbox although, this seems to be possible (by USB and FTP). A newcamd.list file with all info is needed. To load the file (found this info somewhere else): menu > network Setup > MGCamd plug setup > manage cfg files >enter select newcamd.list > enter

Yes I always try to enter them by remote but lets say there are 7 different networks on Hotbird and you have got different ports for each network then it makes it really difficult entering them by remote. I will create 7 lines on my PC and will upload them via USB. but again they will be 7 lines. I wondered if there is a method to create 1 line with 7 different ports and upload via USB then in the box using only one line instead of 7
Another question is can I edit an existing line (N or C) by remote? Like only changing user or password??
                  This thread is getting interesting
                  Thanks in advance

                    Re: N line for OpenBox

Again, I don't have an OpenBox, so can't try anything. My personal opinion to your questions:
                    - I think you'll use all of the 7 available lines, as you stated
                    - Changing/editing an existing line should be possible ; what's in the manual? ; can't you try with your RC? Normally it's something like entering the line and deleting/overwriting it.

I have tried editing the lines with the remote control but I dont think that Openbox gives you such an option but I don't know a lot as I stated I am just a poor noobe

if you are using free clines here as you only have 10posts you only on server3 with limited lines, but you can change the user line as many times you like, till you connect.

You are right Toby. I can use only one C line at a time but is there really any way to change theuser and password by remote instead of changing the whole line?
                          Thanks for the help

I added an n-line decoder and reboots constantly. What is this?

In my opinion when the line is too busy or the ping time is too slow then the box reboots constantly. try checking it with another line.
