HDMI on S9

Hi,

My Openbox S9 HDMI stopped working, it works sometimes but when you put it into standby and back on then it does not work.

Anyone else had this issue?

have you checked all connections are in properly or a different hdmi cable

did you try unpluging both the box and tv from mains at same time then repluging.

Some of the old models of HDMI are not compatible with the new settings. If its an old HDMI then in many cases it loses sound. Try a different HDMI cable and see if the problem still exist?

can't you do a kind of hard reset with this box? Eg reset button or re-install ori-soft with serial rs232 cable?
If problem is the cable: any other possibilities (scart, component?)

I dont think there is hard reset on openbox like they do have one on sky digibox. You press and hold backup key on the box and plug in the mains, after about 5 seconds you get all the lights flashing and the reset(update) starts. If any one knows if such kind of procedure exists on Openbox then please explain. it will help the openbox users.

Do never unplug the hdmi cable when the box is on you my burn the port!!!
