Ariva 102e channel limit

I've scanned more than 8000 channels which worked fine for an evening . Following morning box displayed ASH . I recovered using rs232 .
Product description doesn't mention a limit .
Does 102e have a known channel limit ?

It will have a channel limit as the box is a closed source receiver and not Linux so i would expect its limit is either 8000 or 10,000

That makes sense . I've probably reduced the limit even more by using a patched rom . Thanks for your input
