I have bought myself an Amiko Alien 8900 which i am very happy about and am enjoying using it. I have stuck to Spark so far as i tried to put Enigma 2 by AR Team on it and it loaded up fine but i can't seem to get cccam to work and i don't know how to find it on Engma 2 as i am not used to using E2 as only had a DM500s before. My question is I currently have a very slow internet connection 0.75 mb so i get quite a bit of breakup on my clines. I am told that using oscam on spark is better than cccam config but i have never used oscam and firstly do not know how to put it onto Spark and secondly how to put clines on to it. I have several clines that i would like to put on it but any help that anyone could give me to minimise break up would be great. If you know any other tips also i would appreciate it.

Re: Amiko Alien which cam?
ar-p is quite poor,search and you will find many images
this is 1 example
in cccam:C: ***dns ***port ***user ***passwd
in oscam:
[reader]
label = what do u want
enable = 1
protocol = cccam
device = ***x,***port
user = user
password = passwd
inactivitytimeout = 1
reconnecttimeout = 30
group = 1
lb_weight = 100
cccversion = 2.1.3
cccmaxhops = 3
cccwantemu = 1
ccckeepalive = 1
audisabled = 1 -
Re: Amiko Alien which cam?
I'm not sure that i understand you, can you put clines in oscam? Is it a matter of breaking down the cline into component parts. Label is this the provider? the user and the password. is this the box password and the device is this the name of your box ie amiko alien or is this part of the cline? I am familiar with clines but dont want to appear stupid. Also if the label is the provider does that mean you can only use one cline per provider. Will this help with the glitching. Thanks in advanceComment

Re: Amiko Alien which cam?
of course you can put c-lines into oscam
another ex:
on label you can write what do u want(your partner,test line,your dog name......)
C:rikksow.no-ip.org 55555 satlover england
[reader]
label = line1(example)
enable = 1
protocol = cccam
device = rikksow.no-ip.org,55555
user = satlover
password = england
inactivitytimeout = 1
reconnecttimeout = 30
group = 1
lb_weight = 100
cccversion = 2.1.3
cccmaxhops = 3
cccwantemu = 1
ccckeepalive = 1
audisabled = 1
you can put your c-line into oscam,it depends if you are just client or you share some card(s)Comment

You have explained that perfectly, I was a bit unsure but that is such a simple explanation. I only use clines for reading not for broadcasting. Can you tell me if i use Oscam rather than cccam will this help with freezing.Comment

Re: Amiko Alien which cam?
thats great news, I will certainly try that. When i upload to box via usb stick, where do i find it on DCC and is it the same to activate it as it is for cccam on Spark Box and can you put in more than one cline is it just a matter of repeating the above instructions for every clineComment

Re: Amiko Alien which cam?
in oscam you can put your c-lines via web interface.look in oscam.conf,you will see this:
[webif]
httpport = 8888 (or another port)
in webbrowser put 192.168.***.***: port(8888) ,go to files/oscam server and put there all your c or n lines.do u have all oscam files?Comment

Re: Amiko Alien which cam?
Yes thanks i have all the oscam files i believe, i got them from this site. Will have a go at that just wasn't sure where to find the oscam.config file to edit in dcc as this is the way i have always edited cccam.Comment

Re: Amiko Alien which cam?
if you want to try it manually with dcc take a look at var/tuxbox. there you will find what you are looking forComment

Re: Amiko Alien which cam?
Haven't tried it yet will have a go on Saturday, I'm probably not the only client as its not my server. Not even given mgcamd a thought as i have not used that one either. I have only used cccam and wouldn't know anything about entering clines in mgcamd as i heard oscam was the cam to useComment
