hi there
has anyone tried running NUT on their dreambox to enable it to act as a client to a UPS server and safely shut down in the event of a power failure?
i live in syria where the power supply is unreliable to say the least, so the dreambox is subject to adhoc power failures and hard shut downs. this can't be good for it, so i'd like to get it to shut down properly on battery power when the UPS server indicates that the power supply is down (and to switch back on again when the power supply is back up).
i've got this up and running on my mac, but have no experience on how to get this running on the dreambox. since it's a linux device i'm assuming that this should be possible.
even if no one has got NUT up and running, i'd be grateful to receive some steer on how to install linux routines... i'm a complete novice on linux devices other than my mac.
regards... jonny
