Data grabbing with dreambox

Not as far as I know. new Skygr*bber has got Dreambox function, but it does not connect. Future version will be active.

Yes, I try to find the setting for DM800 to connect with skyg*** but unable to do so.

I too am also hoping to do the offline downloading with a dreambox. I obtained a USB Sat box DM04 cheap and tried to download from 7E, but nothing...

Mabe you can try other (reference) driver for the device.
Lookup the Vendor ID & Product ID then you can go search for a reference driver!

I have see that SkyGrabber has some setup page so that it logs into the Dreambox IP address but I have not try it.

Not taking any credit for this grabbed from another forum:


1) SkyGrabber's main window displays the application menu and toolbar, a tabbed view of your downloads and the Statistics panel

2) The Filters menu allows you to select one of the provided filtering criteria: by file type, by IP, by MAC or by port.

3) The Providers window lets you select the preferred provider and modify the LNB settings, the Transponder settings and also the Pids settings.

4) The Interface Options tab enables you to customize the application's appearance according to your needs and preferences.

5) The System options tab lets you set the number of simultaneous downloads, the process priority, the thread priority and the engine type.

6) In the SAT Internet Options tab you can enable the satellite internet with grabbing and select the network interface and the corresponding MAC.

7) The DreamBox Options tab lets you customize the DreamBox settings: IP address, port and Pids.

Thank you for reply, These are already known, The issue is Skygrabber don't start grabbing even after entering the IP for dreambox. Please tell me the required Hardware linkage, such as it is sufficient to link pc with a Dreambox with a router ? In which state of STB required ? In standby ? OR on desired provider too ?

Skygrabber requires a port number to connect. I have tried all known ports i.e. 8080 80 6000 ect, but cannot get it to connect with PC.

What is the Skygrabber or Skynet and how a dreambox can be connected with them?
Is there any plugin available for this work?
