    Re: audio lags

Problem is not card, is not codec...but Progdvb: use DvbDream or DvbViewer instead.

        Re: audio lags

this may happen because of signal strenght.
Had similar problem on dvbdream and when sound come back after server lag sound was pretty weak...

Sorry, I didn't understand, but I was blocked by the title: Audio lags...but you have not audio lags...
These problems after noises or freezees are normal: also your TV does, when it gets some strong noise...

            Re: audio lags

Maybe because of signal noise ratio or perhaps your dvb viewer, PROGDVB for me is the most unstable Sat viewer for pc sat. For me, the best is DVBDream.
Try with another codec pack, you can install HDPack 2.4 (freeware).
Perhaps the bug is made by your audio or video renderer. My audio renderer using DVBDream is Default audio renderer, and my video renderer is Video renderer 7. DVB-S codec DSscaler, audio ffdshow.
            I hope this help you.
            Best regards.

              Re: audio lags

I agree with findeciclo, I also proposed DvbDream, but what I mean is that the problem here is not audio lag (tipycal with Progdvb) (audio and video playing not syncronized).
Here the problem is the bad C**am server, and you can't hope to have a good audio if signal drops and returns and so on...

                Re: audio lags

                some news.

by audio lags, i heard noises and sound "hash" like a bitrate issue or corrupted mp3

i'have tried with an older SB16 pci (i'have some old Hardware in house huhuhuhu)

no audio lags , only video and sound not on the same time after server disconnect and not systematically.. only sometimes (due to slower servers)

i have klite codec pack installed from start of progdvb testing

so i have update my MB soundcards drivers and test it: lags are out
Elecard & ffdshow settings works fine

only stay sound not on time but i know why

thx a lot for your feedback !

i have tried DVBdream but my old nova PCI seems to be not detected...
i will investigate this and will come back in other subforum if don't work

                sorry for "french" english

                  Re: audio lags

I'm also sorry for not thinking that your english was "french"...
As a matter of facts, also your report of tonight seems strange.
Just to understand, please tell me what's your french word for "lag" (I've not studied French, but I'm from Northern Italy and also spend often my holidays in France...)
About your card you're right: I've got also a similar one for Dvb-t and I must use original software or ProgDvb...

                    Re: audio lags

                    yeah yeah frenchy one

by audio lags, i understand strong noise and sound "hash" (or cut as you want..) like a streaming bitrate issue or corrupted mp3

                    due to audio drivers..

                    now it's ok.

video dscaler mpeg2 (from klite codec pack) and ffdshow for audio seems to be the better set ... video & audio match not perfectly but "not too bad" after network issue ... it's ok for viewing (same as findeciclo thx)
