Linux DVB Player

Hi to all,
I like Linux OS, I would use it also for view TV with a DVB card, I would know a good software player (with a simple and usable GUI) that support cams plugin or that use standard linux dvbapi functions.
Anyone knows someone?

hi, I can suggest you VDR, its not a GUI player, but its the best TV application on linux and with the vdr-plugin-sc you get a emu and cs-client as well.

there are a lot of distributions around or you can install it from distribution packages as well.

which linux are you using?

when you prefer a more lite solution you can use Kaffeine with kaffeine-sc-plugin.

there was also a dvb-api sc around, but i didn't follow the Kaffeine threads, because I prefer to use VDR.

i use Kaffeine with kaffeine-sc-plugin

for channel free you can use vlc

w_scan -X -P -t 2 -E 0 -c IT > dvb-channels.conf (dvb-t)

and open file generated
