    DVBViewer + Hauppauge WinTV-CI USB

    Hi,

I'm trying to get DVBViewer to work with a Hauppauge WinTV-CI USB module.

The driver I installed is WinTV-CI_1_3607_26283_WHQL.zip

    My OS is Windows XP.

Does anyone have succesfuly running these hardware together?

    Thx for any suggestion!

Ok, before, the pc look the Device? For this, go in control panel, system, hardware and Device management, look if the Device is ok.

Before installing the driver, if the operation is successful, open the DVBViewer program, do a search for channels, if the free to air channels are seen, then the card is installed correctly.

In the device manager the driver is reported as correctly installed and up and running fine.
All free to air channels are working in DVBViewer.

As go to configuration under HARDWARE I see my DVB-Card but no sign from the CI module.

but CI is a separate device? I seem to have understood that it is not recognized, right?

Yes, the CI is a separate USB device and it is not recognised bij DVBViewer v5.1.0

I also have write the DVBViewer support as I'm a registered user and expect some support here.

They suggest to install the correct driver thats all.
Once the driver is correctly recognised by the OS than DVBViewer detects the CI automaticaly, witch in my case NONE unfortunatly!

I use also the latest driver available: WinTV-CI_1_3607_26283_WHQL

I also like to try any older driver but can't find any online, if someone reads this it would be nice to have and try any older drivers!!!
