Hi
Anybody can tell me why cant i get the lock on all the channels with hauppauge wintv hvr5500 (diseq with 4 lnb) ( I get most of the channals but some I don't)
has anybody had this problem with other cards...
ex. fto 12633 4883 v
can't seem to lock it at all
even when manualy feeding the pids and sids...

1) Have you tried it with other dvbs card?
2) Have you tried other dvb software?

Sometimes also with twin lnbs or low quality diseq switches, these kind of problems occur.I have also once experienced a similiar situation with a defective dvb card too so you should try these step by step.

I think that the problem is probably in the setting DiSEqC switch.

I havent tried with other cards..
but I have a dreambox and it is working with it...
but not on my dvb card..
could be a DiSEqC problem
I will try without DiSEqC
and inform if it is working...

Some DVB card, have problem with low SR, they doesnt work very well with SR lower then 10 000.

I have already discussed reduced length of wire from box to switch and afterwards too small length of wire.. Dreambox is very confined about diseqc and in case of long wire. I too experienced the same problem..

i see this problem many dvb and receiver also i think they have problem with this issue

I think that the problem is the setting DiSEqC switch. Try without DiSEqC..... aleks_jakob
I had this problem with DiSEqC switch with Single LNB and Monoblock LNB worked without DiSEqC switch.

have you try it scan straight in dvbviewer, or did you try it in transedit?
sometimes it cant scan straight in dvbviewer, so try that transedit, you'll find it in root dir of dvbviewer.
have you got a dvbviewr pro, or free version?

DVBs card for PC is not perfect. I have the same issue as you with a usb DVB card.

With my vu+ solo, no problem at all.

So, I think you should have your dish perfectly aligned and overly oversized to maximize signal strength. Otherwise, you might miss some transponders with your PC rig.

You can overcome this issue by using the streaming feature of a dreambox or vu+.

sorry for not replying earlier but I live in Finland and playing with my dish at very
low temp. is not a lot of fun
so today I tried without the DiSEqC but still not working
Transedit didn't work either..
I really hope that stu667 is wrong cause I would like to
fix this ... perhaps a better LNB..

I think you should refresh your trasponder files, do you know where to find them?
Pay attention: they will go not only in Program Files/Dvb Viewer/Trasponder, but also in Documents and settings/All User/Application Data/CMVU/Dvb Viewer/Trasponder.
This is for most common installations.
