hi to all
i have a problem with dvb dream, when I watch hd or non hd channels i have stops and glitches randomly, my video configuration is
dvb dream 2.2.b
skystar hd2

video nvidia pure
audio nvidia pure
video mixing render 9
h264 main concept
ac3 ffdshow
core 2 pc, nvidia 8600 gt
with the hd channels the cpu usage is 80-90%

how can i do to have the best?

The settings you choose are quite sensitive to operating system: which one is yours?

You're using some other video codecs?
Have you tried to use like some others?

OK for Operating System, (those settings don't fit XP at all).
Try using other codecs, as skytec said.
But, most important of all, test those things with FTA channels...with crypted ones there are too many factors affecting results...

Ok I tried a lot of codecs but now I prefer core av because they use kuda and the cpu now is 30 40 % of use perfect for me..., I tried also progr dvb same problem stops and pixels randomly also on free to air,it's possible that I must change the lnb?
What do you think about?

You do have another satellite receiver? If the problem continued, then check the dish, f-connectors, coaxial cable, LNB ...

LNB has nothing to do with the CPU usage. If you are getting low signal it wouldn't increase CPU usage. As computers are not built for watching TV therefore you will get problems with watching satellite tv on your pc. A cheap box and a proper tv can't be replaced by an expensive DVB card and a computer.

The problem looks for me familiar.
My post will be kind a long, but ...
Couple of months ago my tevii 660 broke. I had no time to wait until I repare it so I decided to buy another card. And I bought Technisat. SkyStar USB HD. And it begun! First I installed BDA driver. And I found strange problem. Glitches and stops, like you said. On both SD and HD channels. For h264 video it looked like broken picture. Fot mpeg2 video there were little (less than second) freezes even on FTA channels. Opening NVIDIA decoder control panel I found that there's excessive (more then 10MBit) bitrate in these moments of freeze. I struggled the card for some weeks and I was close enough to pour gasoline on it and burn. Then I called to the store where I bought the card and cried I don't know what to do now. They said, let's try to change the card, for my example may be defective. So I did it. I changed the card.
New card works must better than first. But not ideal. When I Watch TV every day without shutting down the PC (standby) there's OK (To make standby work well is another story) But when I updated the system with windows update and had to restart PC I got those well-known glitches again for some time.
What was it, I don't know. Now my card works fine, but I don't know when I'll meet same problem again.

what codecs do you use?
well, i have the same problem but free to air now works, with core codec kuda for hdtv the cpu usage is good 40%, so

free to air works
mpeg 2 stops and glitches sometimes
hdtv stop and glices more than mpeg2

the lnb coaxial are ok,
somebody have the same problem? should I use different driver for my skystar hd2, now I use official...

good morning the i find the solution:

- reinstalled windows 7 32 bit
- nvidia codecs for mpeg
- ehnance video render
- windows 7 codecs for hd

now everything is ok , just some little freezes randomly

Just a little tip:
windows 32 bit will let you to use only 3GB of your RAM. upgrading to 64 bit will give you full control over your RAM and your video will be smooth without any glitches. You wont be restricted to 3GB anymore.
