Have AltDvb working in Win7, but what codec for mpeg4 ?

I have Alt Dvb working in Win 7/64, with a Skystar USB2 , but the stabillity for Mpeg4 codec is poor.
What is de best codec for Mpeg4 and where to find ? I use an old Cyberlink H.264/AVC Decoder, but these is verry unstable.

I'm using Arcsoft codecs with ffdshow for a long time.

I have plenty codecs in the list, but don't find Arcsoft codec. And most codec's don't work for me . Have you the exact file-name (.ax) of that codec ?

plenty of codecs is really not good, because of that you have poor stability.
get some codec maintaner, then find on web that arcsoft, or that dscaler.

Dscaler is not working. It must be a H.264 codec as Cyberlink H.264.
It's for the new SD mpeg-4 format in 8PSK. My provider here is changing from mpeg-2 to mpeg-4 format in SD quality. On my Dreambox DM800 it's not a problem, but on PC DVB Cards it is not easy. Still searching..

If your video card is modern model of NVIDIA or ATI with hardware h264 support you have 2 choices
- CoreAVC 3.0.1 with CUDA option turned on for NVIDIA or DXVA option for ATI , if your card is Intel onboard video choose software mode. CoreAVC is not free it costs about 13$
- LAV filters. They also works with hardware h264 decoding on NVIDIA and ATI cards. Those filters are freeware. But they are little buggy comparing to CoreAVC.

Are you sure that your dish is Ok. because commonly dvbs2 is sensitive
i suggest you use check with other players like prog or dvbdream then work with altdvb

My dish is OK. It works fine on my Dreambox DM800HD with 14.50dB on the HD channels on 23.5; I try most other programs, but on PC with a Skystar USB2 and Win7/64 i'ts not easy to get a program working. DvBDream and ALTDvb are not free for using with plugins for using my smartcard Canal Digital. Favorite was Skyview2012 ( is not working on Win7/64 anymore, even after a reinstall) and AltDVB is still the best looking program. I used a patched version for Win7. I think the only codec's for ALTDVB are ***.ax files, that you must registered. All other attempts are failing. The codec now i use is Cyberlink H.264/AVC Decoder (cl264dec.ax) , but he is not always starting after changing a channel.
Still looking for codecs in ***.ax fromat and i look for that Russian filters. . .

I have the same problem on windows xp, my altdvb 2.2 won't play h264 channels with any codec. I think i tried them all, cyberlink 7.3, coreavc, elecard, intervideo, ffdshow, arcsoft, divx, lav... Some of them are not recognized and selectable at all (but they work in dvbviewer), and other are shown in the list but I cannot get picture with any

With arcsoft I didn't got picture even in dvbviewer where most codecs work. When i register filter, it is available in both dvbviewer and altdvb but I get only sound on h264 channels...

I've tried them all of course, vmr7 vmr9, overlay... but the problem is not related to render, decoder do not start with altdvb, e.g. when I select coreavc as preferred codec nothing happens, but in dvbviewer coreavc starts up immediately when I switch to any h264 channel. I see the icon in tray even before I got dcw and picture...
