    Stuttering when switching channels

I have this problem when switching channels. The computer freezes for approximately half a second. I'm using the latest video card drivers, also the latest SkyStar drivers with ProgDVB. Sometimes the videocard stops working during channel switching and I have to restart my PC.
What could be causing this and is this normal? Because my cousin used this same card and he never had this problem.

The main reason should be a codec issue. You may try different video and codecs and see if it helps. My reccomendation is Cyberlink v11 mpeg2 decoder. You may also try to change the renderer to evr if the player supports it.

hi...surely you have a codec issue, but 'did not say if the problem is
channel free-to-air or encrypted or indistinctly

Perhaps the problem is the folowing:
Your graphic card is not the properly one. I mean, when I had an old shared graphics card the image freezes, so I bought an ATI 4000 series 1 Giga RAM, and the problem dissapeared, so on, you must configure your graphic card too.
Perhaps your RAM memory is not enough for your Sky Star, you must get 2 Gb at least in order to avoid freeze.
Perhaps your codec pack is not right, or exists a codec incompatibility, if you have installed two or more codec packs, is possible that your system goes crazy. Uninstall all, and install the last one codec pack. Only one codec pack.
Perhaps your drivers sat receiver are not right. Download the last drivers for your device.
Perhaps your processor is not powerful enough for your card pci.
Tell us your pc configuration and we will help you better.
