    Re: "Device not started"

With ProgDVB You can't use two devices at the same time..So you go to OPTION/Devices List ant then you should deactivate Skystar2 Card And activate your proper Card By Double Click !!!

Look on the Skystar Section, you have a reset tool there and some script made by us.

It can happen if not enough resources of operative memory, it is possible to try to rearrange DVB in another PCI slot

Or if you are using Asus motherboard, it seems that they have lots of problems and conflicts with SkyStar Cards.

Are you sure that the card is ok, have you tested it on other PC ?

                          Thanks for the help
The mainboard is a Gigabyte S56-3

I have changed to XP but the intall of xp was scary too.
The system can´t installed with a sata-dvd device!

I took an old ide cd-burner and it runs....

I suppose it was a mainboard problem, because I installed only the drivers für dvbviewer from the technisat original site...

Mainboards VIA chipset build in, usually have problems with SkyStarHD 2, and DVBViewer, the most common problem is: "No valid DVB device found"..., so the manufacturer, Technisat, give us the solution to fix the problem as follows:

After the software update to version 1.1. you may get the message "No valid DVB device found" from DVBViewer TE.

To solve this issue please follow these steps:

                            1) download and extract the file "ClearDevices.zip" to your local harddisc drive

                            2) close the DVBViewer TE software

                            3) execute the "ClearDevices.bat" which was extracted in step 1)

                            4) now the DVBViewer TE can be used again.

The app. can be downloaded from the original website of Technisat.

                              Re: "Device not started"

it is happening with me too, device not started.
I observed that when system is in idle state for quite some time. device not started message will be given as soon an you open your dvb player.
what I do is, open device manager and go to network adopters, where the device located. just disable it and again enable it. the device not started messages will go away.
I think it happens due to power saving. which switches off the dvb-s or dvb-s2 card on your computer.

Hope this will help alot to new users.
