Skystar 2 BDA drivers on x86 and x64

    So we have :

    1. Skystar 2 on windows x64 or x86
    2. BDA drivers installed (manual install from device manager)
    3. ProgDvb, DVBViewer or any player

    Isues :

I was never able to get it work

    Tested :

    1. Scan channels using WDM drivers, cheked the card that is working properly let's say having 70 % signal and 90 % Quality.

    2. Replace WDM drivers with BDA and then channels behave like when having bad signal and when i check the levels i have : 1% signal and same value for quality like above 90 %

    3. More strange I've also tested a QQbox with BDA drivers and the signal indicated on DVB Player is also 1% and quality is indicated corectly. The difference is that QQbox is working fine even if ProgDVB says that it has 1% signal

Re: Skystar 2 BDA drivers on x86 and x64

I am using Win7 X64 and managed to install it this way:

    - Installed the SS2
    - On fist startup windows found the card and asked for the drivers
    - i choosed the bda drivers manually
    That's all :-)

But for me only the bda drivers with the version 4.5.1 are working.
    The 4.6.0 drivers are crap!!

PS: I am using GBPVR and Mediaportal

And for you were BDA drivers more suitable then WDM ?

Can't manage to do it on skystar 2 rev 2.3, when i install BDA drivers manualy and try to install technicsat software, a windows apears with "Updating drivers" and automaticaly replaces BDA drivers with WDM

I use the bda drivers because GBPVR only supports the SS2 bda drivers and not the wdm drivers.

The one and only issue I have is, that the card is dead after standy/hibernate.
Which kind of issues do you have?

@cdr_pro: the "dead" sympthoms of the ss2 after standy/hibernate is well known. you can either go to the network control panel and dis-/reenable the ss2 or use the tools provided by uttnls and me:
                    this http://www.satlover.com/forum/skysta...b-program.html
                    or that http://www.satlover.com/forum/skysta...eset-tool.html

Driver BDA on Win 7 x64 doesn't want to be updated? through devices manager install is normal, but not update version BDA of the driver in DVB Dream
