You should use thanks button, anyway you have an Skystar 2 rev. 2.8 with dvb-s2 support thats why you can watch HD channels :P

I didn't knew until recently that Skystar 2 rev 2.8 has HD support, i thought that only Skystar HD has such a thing.

are you absolutely shure about that hd channels (dvb-s2) work on the Skystar 2 (w/out hd)? why should Technisat do such a favor to the customer.
i consequently thought: dont call it hd if it has no hd in the name

skystar 2 is able to show HD channels in dvb-s, but not to encode hd channels in dvb-s2.

What do you mean by encode ?

Is very strange i'm not able to scan HD, and they never apear on my channel list, is there any special setting to make before transponder scan ?

which sats do you receive? so we can look for an hd-channel on it ..

I don't think so. At least I have not to do any special settings. HD channels are also included in list automatically as SD channels.

yep, the only importance ist that the hd channels are in dvb-s an not in dvb-s2

In my opinion best codec is that which works best on your machine

In the choice of codec, you have you have to try all codecs and find which one works better for you.

I' have many codec installed like
intervideo
cyberlink
arcsoft
microsoft
elecard
divx

but divx works fine for me

thats true, i tried different codecs too. But own graphs are working best for me in sd. One of them is dscaler.

i can receive redlight 3d hd but thats dvb-s1! no chance on dvb-s2!

Yes indded now i've got it most of them are in dvb-s2, so thats why just a little part of HD channles work on cards before rev 2.8 and Skystar HD

thats what i explained. you have to differentiate between hd channels in dvb-s and dvb-s2

Bytheway how did you managed to install DVBDream with Skystar 2 ?

DVBDream just won't detect my card !!

Just use 4.6.0, and try to not connect and disconnect the cable to your card while you're computer is running and you shouldn't have any problem
