This can be helpfull to someone i hope:
Driver for skystar hd 1 is no longer on technisat site.
Instead you can use driver from other card Technotrend tt budget s2 3200 driver. It works on win7.

        Re: Last Technisat driver

        Hi everybody,
I've bought a skystar HD USB device. I'm using it with windows 7 home premium. It comes with an installation CD containing 2011 BDA drivers (4.6.0.9999), but when windows 7 recognized the device, it downloaded a new version of the BDA driver (4.7.0.48, dated 11/04/2011). As nobody mentioned it, I think it may be a useful information.
Is anybody else using these drivers version with mediaportal?

          Re: Last Technisat driver

I haven't try it with mediaportal, but I have something to say about it.
Even if mediaportal supports skystar USB HD, it doesn't support CS plugins like HADU or ACAMD. The only solution is to use Dvblink TVSource software. It supports all range of BDA cards and CS plugins.

And how are those 4.7 drivers?
          Please check the following
          - how it comes from sleep or hibernate
          - how stable it works with DVB software (hangs, glitches, e t c)
          - does remote control works somewhere?

            Re: Last Technisat driver

Actually I was able to use it the technisat driver on a windows 7 x64 on a AMD laptop, but now I am having trouble with my new HTPC with the same operating system. Apparently the problem is that the skystar HD USB does not change from low to high band. If I use my humax CI5100 and tune it on a high band channel the skystar HD USB properly displays the channel.
Sometimes, however, the skystar is able to tune the channel: does anybody else have these issues?

EDIT: I've checked the tv-server mediaportal option that re-initializes the tuners after stand-by, and it now properly get every channel. Moreover, Iàve set the option for DVB'S driver instead of generic. I'll report back about glitches.

PS. I do not use the supplied remote, therefore I cannot report on the last question

4.7.0.48, dated 11/04/2011, check out 3 messages back
In fact 4.7 driver was designed for all modern cards of Technisat - PCI, PCI-e and USB, but it works more or less stable only with PCI-e card, so they (technisat) say it's only suitable for PCI-e card. For the rest of cards they offer good old 4.6 drivers made before second world war.
These 4.7 drivers works only in BDA mode, even in XP. WDM drivers are only for data mode.

                      Once more.
win7 works only with BDA drivers
Technisat BDA drivers are not intended for work.
If you want technisat card to work
                      - install xp
                      - use wdm drivers
