I need a DVB Satellite card.

Hello, i have a dreambox dm500s. I'm very satisfied with this receiver since 2009,but we're going to move and dreambox is going to the saloon.

I want to buy a DVB card.

    My specifications

    Ability to receive HD channels
    Card sharing(of course)
    Good price/overall performance

If you know that, post here,i will check.

    Thank you!

Tevii s464 is reasonably priced and works well for your needs . 2 versions are available, pci and pcie . I'm pleased with the pci version .

      If still relevant, my recommendation:
      Digital Devices Cine S2.
      Great card with many possibilities.

Did you notice differences between card and USB?
(I'm still with an old Technotrend DVB-S card, I was satisfied, but sooner or later I have to buy something for DVB-S2...)

I have a sky star 2 and it was always very reliable and supported by all the SW required.

skystar 2 is old, there is no HD, no DVB-S2, no MPEG-4!

Re: I need a DVB Satellite card.

I only recommend modern Technisat cards like Skystar USB HD, SkyStar 2 eXpress HD and SkyStar S2 if you planning to use them with Linux OS, or at least with XP with WDM drivers. BDA drivers for these cards are far from excellence and nobody's gonna work them out.

If you are planning to watch TV in win7 or 8 and even in win xp I'd recommend to buy a card equipped with BDA drivers made with straight hands.

I own 3 cards - Technisat USB HD, Tevii S660 and Prof Revolution DVB-S2 7500 USB

Tevii and prof are very good solutions for windows. But Prof has a metal case and very mean AC adapter. So it's a best card for win i used.
                    And cheapest one

                    Only 75 $...

I'm talking about skystar2, not skystar s2, just to make it right.
