I saw two receiver boxes that could whilst I was over in the USA earlier this month. I've yet to find one in Europe so far though. If it's becoming standard on American receivers, it's surely only a matter of time before it becomes standard on European ones too.

I have Istar-Korea x20000 HD and it do support FLV. This one is not so popular in Europe but in middeleast you will find them. Go to a satelitte shop and maybee you will find one

I think that hard you will find a receiver that can support flv files.
Even dreambox can't do this with success.
There are some plugins promising that can play flv files but they can't.
You can take only sound, no picture.

I suggest you something else...
why you don't use a converter in your pc to convert the flv to mpeg... or something else ?
Our today's pc's can do this very quickly without any loss in quality.
Then transer the file with usb stick or a hdd.
