K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of components required for video and audio playback in DirectShow players such as Windows Media Player, Media Center, and Media Player Classic.
This codec is designed as a user-friendly package for playing all your movie files.
It contains everything you need to run all common audio and video file formats.
It also provides additional functions such as generation of thumbnails in Explorer. Installer package has very advanced and that is very flexible and has unique capabilities to solve the problem.
There are four types of Codec Pack K-Lite: Basic, Standard, Full, Mega.
There is also a 64-bit version of the package.
It is recommended to install both 32-bit variant of the package as well as a 64-bit package on 64-bit versions of the Windows operating system.
Variable contains all the basic necessities needed to operate all common video formats.
It's small, but still very strong. Alternative record contains the same core, in addition to Media Player Classic and MediaInfo
Alternative fully contain the same standard, in addition to support for some additional audio formats (loss), and a tool GraphStudioNext.
Mega variable contains several additional components compared to the full.
For example ACM / VFW codecs that can be used in the encoding.
