    Re: hard drive

yes, here is a similar problem, with the solution:
attach external power supply for the hd, as dm800 is not powerful enough

            Re: hard drive

In BH you need to mount the HDD as well, but some images mainly PLi seem to have a
problem when auto mounting the hdd.
You can manually mount the HDD but it will state its already mounted.
The only part missed out was the creation of the movie folder which allows for recording.
Pausing is stored within the HDD root and not affected with the ability not to record.
So what you got to do is just use DCC or some other ftp software then create a movie
folder go to the HDD file sys and add a new folder named movie then try to record.
Please report back if this solves your problem good luck.

open a telnet session onto your satbox:

                telnet boxip

                root

also, when system maintenance is needed: telnet session suit better to check file system, mount, edit, ...

No mate just updating image might not work try my solution first download DCC,
once DCC is up and running press configuration tab choose your language then
in the connection type select router, search for your box, search for router the
login details should be root and root. Once you get green for both box and
router press ftp on the left should be files on your box it should have folders like
bin, etc, usr and so on click on media folder then on hdd then right click to then
select create new folder then name it movie.

Another thing to check is in plugin menu whether you can install a HDD
manager that might simplify things for you.

I am not having a go at you I agree with you but our friend's knowledge is not
great and it is easy to make mistakes with telnet when you don't know what
                          you are doing.
