1) Edit recorded TS files

First, you should install DVR-Studio Pro (DVR-Studio Pro Setup100RC7eng.exe trial).


From file memu in DVR-Studio Pro, open the file(s) you want to edit. It is possible to select several files using CTRL/SHIFT buttons. If your dreambox is not available through Samba, you should first copy the files in the PC using FTP.

To remove some part of the movie (ie.the begining, the ads, ...), place the cursor at the begining of the section, click "Start cut", move the cursor to the end of the section, then click "End Cut". If you have other part to remove, then move again the cursor and click again "Start Cut", in the prompt windows click "Yes".
Do the same operation for all part you need to remove.

Then click "Remove cut in recording" if you want to modify the input file, or "Copy Editing recording" if you want to save the modification in a new file.



Nota: if you need to merge several ts file, use tssplitter tool http://www.ffprojects.net/tssplitter/
If your dreambox splited into several files your record, you should copy all the files and rename them with .ts extension before.

2) Convert ts file into DivX/XviD

Download and install AutoGK

In AutoGK, open the ts file in "Input File" section. Select the output directory in "Output File".
Select the Audio track (if the record contains DolbyDigital, select MPEG Audio stream instead of AC3 if you want a normal MP3 audio stream).

Select the desired size (1CD for a movie), in "Advanced settings" panel you can eventually force the resolution width and/or change the default codec (xvid).
Click "Add job", repeat the operation if you have several conversion to perform, then click "Start button".
