Which hard disk type recommended for DM 800 HD ? Am I use any sata hard disk ? Is it simply connected to its e-sata port ?

It is connected to the e-sata port if you want an external hardrive.

If you want an internal drive, then that is a 2.5 inch sata drive, something like a Seagate or Western Digital. The sata lead should already be inside the receiver.

I want to Install external Drive. Is it necessary to format before install ? Or DReam Box itself format the drive ?

The Dreambox should see the drive when it powers on. You should here the disk spinning up at the same time.

You can then initialise it from the menu, something like:

Menu --> Setup --> System --> Harddisk --> Initialization

i use a sata2 250 gb 2,5" zoll harddrive, work perfectly

Yes, as you said in your first post, any eSata drive should be ok. I don't know if there is a maximum size supported? I think up to 1.5TB is ok.

Maybe someone can confirm that?

I have a spare sata drive and try connect with box. Encounter a small problem here. A cable come with box have different connector than which is back of the box.
