Can someone solve this problem??? solved

    Hi!

Im using a wifi range extender (netgear wn2000rpt) in my network because my DM500hd is to far away from my router.

Anyway my problem is that when Im connecting an ethernetcable from my extender in to my Dreambox I cant get internet. But when I plug an ethernetcable from my extender into an old Dlink router and THEN plug a cable from the Dlink to the dreambox I get a connection!! Why?? I dont wanna have to use my old Dlink router! Please help me!

    Best regards

does the extender work with other devices? Is it not faulty?
Otherwise, I would suggest trying homeplugs. Cheap and I've never had trouble with mine.

Do you have the device properly configured?
There is no conflict of IP addresses?
There is no filter MAC addresses ?
Is my post useful for you? Please press sigpic

Have you entered the mac of the router into your extender? Sound obvious I know.

Have you run network set up again after you have connected your DM with the wifi extender.

Make sure that you Wifi extender is not near a cordless phone and make sure that its away from the microwave. They both will block the Wifi signal
