vlc player plugin settings for perfect stream

Hello friends,

i testing the last days with the vlc player plugin on my dreambox 800. I will stream mpeg and avi format with good solution, my stream works with a solution from 720x576 this is for me not good solution.

you can help.. ?

what is the best resolution so that the stream is running smoothly?

I work with vlc 1.11 on my PC

Plz can you tell me the setting detail for your PC and Box ? I am still unable to stream to Box. I am using winxp

hi, i use win7 and the vlc player 1.1.1, i have modify the vlc as http Server with the variable " --extraint=http " this works good, i can open the vlc plugin in browser.


the details box:

Server Adresse = IP from PC
http port: 8080
Transcode Mpeg/DVD Video = no
Video Codec = mpeg2
Video Bitrate = 9999
Video Norm = 720x576 ( 16:9 ) @ 50fps ( PAL )

I have DM 800HD PVR. Is there a way to play MKV movies with Digital Theater Systems DTS audio?

Just put MKV file on your USB stick and play with media player of Dreambox. Connect your Theater system with optical out of Box

I never try with optical out but it give me AC-3 sound on my Home theater.
