Permanent TimeShift for DM 7025-500HD-800-8000

  * Changes: Show Current-Position instead Remaining-Time on left side in PTS InfoBar
    * Changes: Red Marker in PTS infobar is now set automaticly to current play position
    * Changes: When pressing PAUSE before PTS got activated, we enable PTS instead normal Timeshift Function of E2
    * Fixed Timeshift got activated when record started directly on Enigma2 start, even if it should stop during recording.

Auto Timeshift Plugin

Hi !

Nachdem ich schön langsam glaube das sich da eine Urbane Legende daraus entwickelt, dass der simple Timeshift Ansatz des Auto Timeshift Patches so toll war/ist, und ich deswegen immer wieder PMs kriegen wo die Leute fragen ob man den nicht wieder ins OoZooN oder in andere Images machen kann, oder wo man das alte OoZooN runterladen kann wo das noch drinnen ist, ist mir jetzt gestern die Hutschnur geplatzt.

Im Anhang findet Ihr also das Autotimeshift so wie es damals getestet wurde als Plugin. Es wird nichts mehr gepatched sondern nur die nötigen routinen überschrieben, insofern sollte es in jedem aktuellen Image gehen.

Zum Aufdrehen einfach nach der Installation und einem enigma2 restart in den Enigma2 Settings das Delay einstellen und schon gehts los.

Und jetzt gebt bitte endlich Ruhe !

PS: Und nachdem es teilweise die selben routinen wie Homey[GER] sein Permanent Timeshift überschreibt bitte fragt nicht danach ob man beide installieren kann - NEIN kann/soll man nicht!

PPS: Und wenn ihr es schon vergessen habt wie es funktioniert: Selbst bei enabeltem Timeshift ist man mit Auto Timeshift zuerst nur im Zapping Modus bis man Pause drückt, dann erst ist man im Spulmodus wie beim normalen Timeshift. Und mit TV kommt man wieder ins Live TV und den Zapping Modus zurück. Das ist eigentlich der einzige Unterschied dazu wenn ihr den Timeshift Knopf selbst gedrückt hättet. Und auf der Tase für die Sofortaufnahme findet ihr das sichern des Timeshifts in eine Aufnahme, mehr gab es damals im Patch auch nicht was heute vieleicht noch Sinn macht.

Dreambox Restream 1.4.3 (Finaly!!)

Finally, here it is after a year of nu updates. Dreambox Restream 1.4.3!!!

Some new features are:
* Added authorization, so you can put Dreambox Restream in 'private' modus. So you can watch a movie without being interupted by other viewers.
* Added a tooltip on the program guide. So hover over the program title to get a small summary from that program.
* Added the latest Longtail video player (5.2)

This version took so long time because I was bussy with work and social live. So I had not much spare time to work in this software. And also I was waiting for the final Wowza Media Server 2 version. It is now needed for Dreambox Restream. The good thing it is free for personal use.

Setting it all up

Now we got all parts, we can set it up.

Server part:
Install VLC according the installation instructions. On a Debian based system you can use apt-get install vlc. It will everything what is needed to run VLC. On a windows system you should be double clicking the file and follow the instructions. Just remember where you installed it or that you are able to find the VLC executable file.

Also you need to install Wowza Media Server.
This is a free (personal use) flash (and more) streaming server. Download
Download the software and ask for a free 10 connections license.
Unfortunally you cannot use it for iPhone streaming. That is limited in the free version.

The xajax framework is now included in the Dreambox Restream software package.

Unzip the DreamboxRestream software somewhere in your webroot where you are able to reach with you web client.
After unzipping you have to set some settings in the file Settings.class.php. All settings are documentated in the settings file.

Finally copy the files in the folder wowza to your Wowza media installation. Change the url in the file aliasmap.dreambox.play.txt. This has to be the same value as the variable '$vlcWanIP'. After that, restart your wowza server.

Sourcecode

Here you can download the PHP code for the server part. This code is based on PHP5 and object oriented. So you need at lease PHP 5 installed on your webserver. Got reports of working systems on both Windows and Linux. Get your version right now (06-07-2010)
