How to setup a DM800 from far far away :)
So after all my troubles, I've finally got my dm800 clone. Unfortunately I am far away from home, so I could only see it via skype 
It was for my parents either way and my mother was supposed to set it up who is not really a tech person and doesn't speak English either. So I installed VNC on their pc so I could do the hard work. She hooked it up to the PC, held the power button down and plugged it in the power outlet. I connected to their pc via VNC and went to the ip address the box displayed. (How cool is that? The box actually says what IP address its got) I uploaded the latest PLi image from http://www.pli-images.org/modules/fi...d=1&dir=/dm800 and since it's a clone, I had to upload a patched bootloader that you can find at http://www.dm800sim2.com/sim2/conten...00910/500.html and without rebooting the box when it's prompted I uploaded the BL76C one. It worked like a charm. She hooked up the box to the TV and I set it up with webremote. That thing is something awesome. For some weird reason it barely found the channels on 1W... I have no idea why but today or tomorrow I'm gonna try to figure it out.
