What are the major problems of clone DM's?

For example my clone DM's major problem is freezing.It freezes on some channels and never functions again until unplug and restart it.

DM800HD: I can prepare 2 eggs on it, temperature problem the main issues, plus the way it is engineered, the connectors are TOO close each other, it's impossible to connect directly a USB stick if you are using the SCART connector, or the serial when a DVI exit is in use.

DM500-S: Capacitors, I had to replace ALL the electrolytic capacitors on my DM500 Clone due to the poor quality of the original used by the chinese...

I think it depends on the image you are using, I don't think there is a relation between the software issues and the box itself.

My friend i don't know about Scart - USB since i dont use Scart but regarding DVI and RS232 i have no problem and i have them both connected and as for the temperature even the original suffers from it . It can be easily resolved by placing a USB powered fan underneath it like i did and now is cold as a freezer !!!

The main issues for me is the IR remote sensitivity in DM600 and DM800 clones and the low sound volume in DM500 .

You possibly need to change your power supply . Had same issue with a DM600 and since i bought a 3A power supply from ebay.de and it never happened again.

What DM do you own and what image are you using ?

for me, main issues are:
- high temperature during HD channel decoding
- noisy cooler (not present in original version)
- freezes and crashes caused by the poor sensitity of the tuner (during storm, or when I use my mobile phone)
- bad remote control sensitity
- fake sim and genuine security test increased in each new image generation
- poor support from chinese manufacturers

What DM do you own and what image are you using ?

DM500 EDG_Nemesis 4.4 and sometimes Gemini 4.70. You say 3A power supply can solve my problem.I'll consider it.

I own a DM500s clone named Soleron. It's a 1:1 copy and works great. The only problem I have is poor sound quality. Otherwise my box was working hard last 4 years.
Now I'm planning to change to HD box but reading different threads and this one too, I notice that DM800HD got some problems. Can you advise to buy another HD box?

I have DM800 HD. It works perfectly since I bought. There is no such problem like heating, freezing or crashing.

i use a dreambox clone 800 hd with L Tuner, i have no lot freezing, i use the gemeni 5.1 image and bootloader 76c

works perfectly

If you've imported your dm clone directly from China, the service can be a huge problem if your box doesn't work.

It is right there are alot of clones from China and those are not made into same factory also components inside are not all the same, each clone has his history. Anyway DM 800 HD has been not well project, because also originals has many problems: temperature too high, some tuners has problems to hang HD channels. So clones has same problems like the originals but because those uses cheap components those problems are amplified. I suggest you all to watch around and choose another box, today there are many good boxes that can handle cccam and works like recorders. Trust me DM 800 HD is not the best box on market.

i agree but people used there first sharing on dreambox and even if you tell there are better than DM they can't get away from deam multimedia it's like a cognitive signature on there brains !!!!! what Marketing can do those days
