Dreambox 800 HD clone question

i am going to buy a Dreambox 800HD clone from china

theres some description i found on this one:
*boot76,gemi5.1,sim2.01,tunner alps M.

can i use any dream 800 hd firmware with it?
do i have to keep sth. in mind by the time i flash the firmware?

the reason why i ask is that some time here in forums members told that they flashed there dream clone to death and i dont want to get in trouble with it, too

If you write the gemini firmware you will have problems with the time bomb, just use one without timebomb.

Also is not dead if it happens, using jtag you can rewrite the boot sequence and write a good image, but requires some hardware expirience

there are many patched images available, you can choose one of your taste.

if i`ll use a patched firmware does it mean that it`s like the original one with all the features you expect from a normal dream 800 (without verified plugins)?

Yes is the original one, but with no problems regarding clones, they usualy don't have the part of code involving clone detection/extermination.

Of course it could be a little diffrent beaucause the part of code regarding clones is taken out, but it should function like an original firmware

If is the time bomb is removed then you don't need any mac to be changed as far as i know
