How to Enter C-Line in Dreambox Receiver

[stufer]

first you need

download dreambox control centre
install it on your pc
open it
if you are using hub switch then check it otherwise check direct connection
write your dreambox username and password in relevant boxes
write your dm ip in relevant box
if you don't know your ip click search
when dm complete ip search, just click your ip address, dcc will automatically select it
when dcc will find your dm connection will become green
it means your dcc has been connected to your dm
this all process is just first time, later on it will connect your dm automatically
now all is set for cline
-----------------------------------
later on every time you will just follow the following procedure
click ftp
click var
click etc
right click cccam confg file
click edit
paste your cline by clicking paste
save and exit
enjoy

yes i think that is the same procedure for all dreambox editions

DCC also works for linux boxes that support cccam next to the dreambox.
For example vu+ duo. It's the same procedure to insert c-line as described by stufer.

Filezilla is a file transfer program, not really for editting files.

Although you can edit files with it, its easier to edit the file on the PC and then use Filezilla to copy it to the receiver. Not the same as DCC.

I used Editplus 2. It can edit files directly on a FTP server, plus you can have a shortcut to the file. To edit mine, I click the shortcut, edit and save. Very fast.

It can also be used very popular file manager software Total Commander. It has ftp module, too and it's very easy to edit file with it.

To follow up on this post, I am in my CCcam cfg file i have only the C line, if you need anything else to configure, or can just put the C line.

You don't 'need' anything else, but there are lots of other useful things it can be used for, e.g. configuring port numbers, username/password for web interface etc.

Best is -Cccam Lines Manager 1.2,you set the ip of dreambox and paste cline and trasnsfer and save.
