i'll talk about installing enigma2 on DM500
requirements:
connecting DM to Local Network
FlashWizard For DM
NFS Server can install the image
dm500-e2-FWmultiboot image
first of all you should flash your box by Enigma 1 that contains a linux kernel supporting SWAPON (like pli image)
all the manipulation are under UBUNTU:
open the terminal and tape:
sudo apt-get install nfs-kernel-server
after installation you should have somthing like:
starting NFS Common utilities
Exporting directories for NFS Kernel Daemon...
Starting NFS kernel Daemon
after tape :
mkdir /home/***x/dreambox (where ***x is your linux login)
and sudo nano /etc/exports
and copy the line that contains the DreamIp
it should be like :
/home/***x/Dreambox 192.168.1.99(rw,no_root_squash,async)
now turn on the server by:
sudo /etc/init.d/nfs-kernel-server restart
if all o'right the server should be running and show :Starting NFS Kernel Daemon
Go now to the dream Menu >> Config >> Expert >> Mount
Ip:the pc ip
dir:server's path on linux
local dir :server's path on dream
option :read/writ
and check automount then mount and press ok
run Flashwizard (using wine) and type the following code on PC EXPORT :
/home/***x/dreambox
and the followin on PC ip: the computer ip
after we choose NFS and select your ENIGMA2 image then press OK
and wait while the image is being installing
Running the image:
reboot the dream
Select ENIGMA 2 from the menu
wait until you see the E2 running
then you can access to the dream by Telnet
