You could get a 3g modem, dongle and data sim. You could also use your mobile as a 3g hotspot, only if you have mobile signal of course!

      Hi,

Sorry, but first you have to connect the DM500 to the internet...
      No internet=no cardsharing

You don't need a very fast connection, just a stable one. I assume you are only a client?
If you have a smartphone you could create a wifi hotspot with it and then connect your stb wirelessly to your phone.
For a more permanent solution get a 3g broadband router such as an edimax 6200, a compatible dongle such as the huawei e1750 and a mobile broadband 3g sim card.
First test your 3g speed though.

Is it a stable connection? Do you lose signal all the time or is it constant?
You don't need fast broadband to client as you only collect small amounts of data every few seconds.
Search online to see what your 3g coverage is like in your area.

Is correct, but only some kbits is really slow (used to have this a few years ago with telephone line), not sure, but could cause problems (also possible not stable)

I would say 1 to 2 mbit would be about the minimum for a stable connection.

think you don't need that, some hundred kbits will work also (I don't have 1 to 2 mbit - connection is good - ping about 3-16 ms).
