i was advised to install pli turko on my mate's dm500 and it was quite good. i really can't say about others as it was the only one i tried. try it first and see how it goes.

pli turko is one of the best and fastest i have used i recomend it.

Open-pli are excellent images for DM 500s.

May I ask is the OpenPi 3 image good for a newbie on a Blackbox 500s (DM500 clone). I've been recommended Commando 14.6 as an alternative. Any thoughts? Thanks.

use only image for dreambox clone, there's enough info on forum about images for original dreambox and cloned versions
