Can any1 plz advice whats the best/stable image for this current receiver?
Im not sure if it makes any diference but my fav sats are (hispasat & sky uk)

This question is like " What is the most delicious food ?" - ten people - ten different answers. If you have oportunitiy to try different images do it . According to your taste and need you will find the best for you . My opinion - ICVS

Gemni image is best and light not hang running smooth

Open PLI is the best and most stable version.
Fast and very effective menu.
For me this is the best

There are lot of images.. wich u cant determine who is best of them.. all of them have differences, most of what u define best is what u need, so every image have good and bad sides.. from what i tested so far.. if u need stable image go for edg nemesis or nabilosat v.08, if u need fast go for gemini, if u need to watch hd in webxtv with dm500s go for pli. Personally i use Marwensat 2.4 Maxvar due his stability fast and webxtv works fine .. test more images if u want to get best of them.. little advice.. when u test them if some image u think is good do backup of that image, so u can fast test and backup more images. Have fun

Give your own input, don't just repeat/formulate in the same way allready given answer from other members. For that you can use thank you button.
Always give your reason/info why you think a image is the best.
This is so for all "what is the best ...." posts on the forum.

in my opinion the best immage is Gemini 4.7 for DM500s. It is upto the members which one they like but I am using this immage is stable and smooth

I personally have no problem with the image that i run on my dreambox which is OpenPLi-beta-dm500-20120703-265 i would certainly recommend it. It runs very smoothly

Reminder : In every "best of post" you need to mention why you think it's the best for you.
Only this way the info is usefull for all members.
Only mentioning xx is the best without info why isn't usefull. Such posts will be deleted

i am using pli images cose its the only one i know where Web-x-tv plugin is working great, for dm500

I installed Commando 14.6 yesterday, first time I tried this image.
I loved the feeling of this image, not like the other images I have tried so far - Pli/Gemini/Marwensat.

It has really fast menu's and really great EPG and Bouquets support.
And It's really stable.

Downside - No plugin **********, need to install the softcam's yourself thru ftp.
No great support to setup a new satellite position on a motorised satellite dish.

But I loved the feeling of this image, and I hope it will develop over time.

i am using commando 14.6 with ccam 2.1.3 and works great with sky tv uk

NEMESIS 2.6 110r0 Dual Enigma is a very good image . Very stable.
You can add the TS Panel to do whatever you want (skin,picon,cams) and several plugin like *******,rss,livescore...

im also running openpli and find it use friendly and stable.. i like to try different ones from time to time
