you can install a maxvar version of openpli in order to have more free space for addons and plugins.

The image of a receiver has nothing to do with the ability of receiving a satellite or a channel.
The good receiving depends on the sensitivity of your tune, your sat dish alignment and the size and of course your country were you live.

The last update of the openpli images for dm500s was in 05-05-2013 and is working very well.

Hi mate

The OpenPli-old framebuffer is for older dreambox receivers and the OpenPli version is for the last generation of dm500s.

How old is your's?

Maybe by mistake you have the old framebuffer if you box is date after 2006.

Somewhere I read that the old framebuffer must be using when your box has a greenish OSD.

It's better to use the other version, the openpli.
I think you will not have any problem using the maxvar version of openpli.
