Problem with picture on Sony LCD

I've Sony full HD LCD TV and it's connected with DM800 using DVI-HDMI cable. Sometimes picture goes blank and I have to press the on/off button on DM800 to back it. All images have this problem. Any solution, please.

First check the hdmi cable is properly connected, then if you still have the problem, try a different hdmi port (if you have one), then a different hdmi cable.

Also check that there is no 'green' power saving setting on the TV that switches off the display after a certain time

Does this happen on free to air channels?

I already checked all about @sonc has written. Some of my friends also have the same problem but nobody succeeded to solve it. Yes, it happens on free to air channels.

Do your friends that have the same problem, have different TVs and different receivers?

What happens to the DM800 when the picture goes? Can you still change channels, and bring up the menus, or is the receiver locked-up?

My friends have different TV's and the same receiver. When the picture goes I can still change channels and the receiver is not locked, but no picture on TV unless I press on/off and again on/off button on the receiver.

Could reason for this problem be in selected video mode? I set on Dream Box video mode 1080i and refresh rate 50Hz. Is it properly? Sometimes this problem happens three times a day, sometimes three times a week. It is not so big problem, but it's certainly unpleasant.

You could give it a try at a lower resolution for a couple of days and see what happens.

I don't think it's the TV. The problem goes away if the DM is turned off/on.

Problem seems to be on the receiver.

Could it be something silly like a screen saver? Is there one on the DM800?

I don't believe, problem is something like screen saver. I've never used screen saver on my DM800. I will try to change something in video mode, refresh rate or resolution and see result.

I've changed settings for video mode, recently. I keep resolution on 1080i, but I've set refresh rate from 50Hz to Multi value. There is no problem from then. I' ll see if the problem will appear in the future and inform you.

If your problem solved then check with other LCD if available which support higher refresh rate like Samsung, because with HDMI receiver communicate with LCD

Unfortunately, the same problem still exists with changed refresh rate to Multi value. I'll have to try something other.
