A few Questions about Cccam

Hello, a bit of a newbee

I have a DM 600 and have the Nabilo DarkstarII image installed,

I know the C line goes into the CCcam.cfg and i can edit this and save, but do i need the other files

such as prio and the bin files?

Does the CCcam need the key files as well to work?

They help. Things like old cards that are no longer used can still be shared, and if you have a prio file, it will prioritise the latest card rather than the earlier ones (if that makes sense). So it's a good idea to have them, they don't change too much too often so just install them and update them every few months. The ones I use are in my sig if you want to try them, there are more up to date ones available on the forum though (I got mine from the forum a while back).

If it is decrypting a channel that can be decrypted then yes. Usually you can download them via a button (on my receiver I just press the red button, it downloads the latest keys).

What does the c line from the server 3 acutally open ? I have motorised setup pointing at Hotbird 13, Astra 19 and Astra 28.2, should the server open anything on these?

I cannot tell you what it does open, thing is to just try and see if the channel you want to watch clears.

You should be able to open most packages on Astra and Hotbird with the Satlover C-line. You tend to get a bit of freezing though.

Tring sport opens up very nicely (only 3 or 4 freezes for the whole game).

Basically if you have a valid c line you don't need the keys.

the key files go in /etc/keys/ directory
Note that you can use the SATAN script to download and unpack automatically the latest keys for all CAMs at the same time (in my box the cron launch this script each night).
When you have valid keys in your box, if the channel can be decoded by it, CCcam will use the EMU instead of a cline. In this case you will have no freezes.
Now, les and less channels could be opened only by key, and cline are most of the time necessary.

This is a very steep learning for me from you experts!!

I have done the c line and keys but its taking a very long time to clear and when it does it freezes within a 2minutes is this normal ? and can i use more than one c line ? I am on 2.1.3 CCcam does tis make a difference?

you need to use an optimized CCcam.prio file to manage priorization of the system to descramble channels.

Is it the satlover free C line you are using?

If so, there is little you can do about the freezing. There is an ongoing thread about it in my sig.

You can use more than 1 c-line in the cfg file, but only 1 of the satlover free c-lines.

CCcam2.1.3 is fine, although 2.1.4 is the latest.

I have downloaded the latetest prio file and still get freezing on zee and tried to watch novasports and still the same, do I need to delete or move down the ones don't want watch and move up the ones i do?

Yes i am using the Cline from satlover and only using one line.

Am I better off going to 2.1.14 CCccam?

Yes i am using the Cline from satlover and only using one line.

There is nothing more you can do about the freezing. There is a thread in my signature about it.

ok tonybod i was looking in the wrong place and did'nt understand
